Refrigerant gases are used in a heat cycle to transfer heat from one area to another. Usually, refrigerant gases exist in the gas phase at room temperature. They are needed to cool almost anything and commonly used air conditioners, fridges, and freezers.
The most common refrigerant gases are Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), Hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), and Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs).
