RPVs are recommended for Carbon steel cylinders due to the possibility of internal corrosion due to ingress of fluid, Medical or food gas products, and gases & gas mixtures that are susceptible to stress corrosion cracking.
In addition, RPVs are beneficial where the possibility of backflow contamination from the end-users process can create hazardous conditions like Beverage dispensing.
