Presentation on Stress Corrosion Cracking at AIIGMA Regional Safety Seminar, Lucknow

Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) is one the most common yet lethal type of material failure in cylinder valves & fittings manufactured from Brass and other Copper alloys due to the effects of Tensile stress, Corrosive environment and Time.

The causes and risks of SCC have largely been under stated and misunderstood.

On 26th December 2024, Rohit Behani (Partner & CEO) made presentation on SCC during AIIGMA regional safety seminar held at Hotel Renaissance, Lucknow.

As SCC involves many technical disciplines, variables and inter-dependencies a good understanding of SCC would lead to initiating actions to mitigate the risk.
